The metro station Avtozavodskaya is located at automobile factory AMO ZIL. Earlier it in honour of it was called "Factory of a name of Stalin", and after return renaming of factory (a name of Lihacheva - ZIL) has received the name "Avtozavodskaya" ("Autofactory"). Factory building has defined industrial shape of area. Earlier in this district Simonov a monastery (about it - on the following page), and around - village and fields settled down. ZIL has occupied huge territory. Its industrial zone includes also factory "Dynamo" which is letting out an electric equipment. And on partially taken down Simonov's place of a monastery Palace of culture ZIL - a monument of architecture of an epoch of constructivism is constructed, later it began to be called "the Cultural centre Yuzhnyi (Southern)". In 2000th years both factory - ZIL and Dynamo - continue to function, however a part of shops is thrown, the part is leased, either sold, or altered in modern business centres, such as by "Omega Plaza". The coast of the Moskva River in an industrial zone has strongly grown and is not well-groomed. Near to the metro station Avtozavodskaya club "Zona", Prefecture UAO, the big shoe centre are located. The multipurpose sport centre "Stadium of a name of Streltsov" is worthy. And if to walk along the street the Leninskaya Sloboda, it is possible to meet so rare for Moscow wooden houses of the beginning of the XX-th century, and also original architecture Experimental thermal power station (TEC) VTI - the poured out lock with ghosts.
