Metro Station Park Pobedy

The Metro Station Park Pobedy (The Victory park) is located on the Kutuzovsky prospectus at an input in the park with the same name on the Poklonnaya mountain. The Park Pobedy has been opened on May, 9th, 1995 in honour of 50 years of a victory in the Great Patriotic War. In park the Central museum of the Great Patriotic War, a military technology Museum in the open air, the Monument of the Victory of sculptor Zurab Tsereteli are located. On the main avenue of park the cascade of fountains which are highlighted in the evenings by red colour is located, and the impression that is the rivers of blood of the soldiers spilt during war is made. The monument "Tragedy of the people" - a monument to prisoners of fascist concentration camps is interesting. The circular panorama is made of the shots made at of the Winners Plaza. The park thanks to qualitative paths became a unique place for walks, driving on rollers and skateboards. If to leave park from an opposite side, it is possible to find out the Memorial mosque interesting on architecture. And having passed through picturesque small river Setun', we get to a many-storeyed inhabited complex of "mountain Vorobevy". Near to the metro Park Pobedy the Triumphal arch constructed still in 1837 in honour of a victory over Napoleon is located, and in 1936 the arch has been disassembled and transferred from the area of the Tverskaya Zastava on the Kutuzovsky prospectus.
