Metro Station Sokolniki
The metro station Sokolniki it is located in the area with the same name - as well as the Sokolinaya Gora (Falcon Mountain), it is named in honour of a falconry. Certainly, the most known sight of area - the Recreation park of "Sokolniki", one of the oldest parks of Moscow in which V.I.Lenin liked to ski that it is possible to make and now. In Sokolniki fill in a remarkable skating rink on a circular path round the central fountain in the winter, it is possible to take the fads in hire and to drive. In park Cultural-exhibition centre "Sokolniki", a skiing lodge, "Attarpark" with attractions and hills, the Dog training centre, restaurant "Sokolinaya ohota (Falconry)" are located. It is possible to drive on sledge, horses, and for older persons on a platform "Rotunda" dances are arranged. Near to metro Sokolniki the known is located bycycle-market at shop "Zenith", hotel "Holliday Inn", trading complexes (in particular "the skin and fur World"), Winter stadium "Spartak" (an arena of a name of brothers of Znamenskye) in the street Stromynka. Interestingly old building of Fire tower where and until now there is a fire brigade, and also a monument of architecture of the Soviet avant-guard - a palace of culture of a name of I.V.Rusakova on Stromynka. The high-rise building "the House in Sokolniki" in Rusakovskaya street became a dominant of area of metro Sokolniki, whose architecture causes not stopping disputes in sceptics.
